We are happy to confirm that Canterbury City Council has granted listed building consent for our Blackfriars Street project.

The property is a historic mid-19^th Century two-storey terraced house located within the Canterbury city walls. It is grade II listed as part of a group of houses, which occupy a prominent location within the Canterbury (Canterbury City) Conservation Area.

Our proposal breathes new life into the existing building by sensitively addressing ongoing deterioration of the historic fabric and upgrading its thermal performance. Internal finishes are upgraded throughout, and the ground floor has been carefully reconfigured to create a more contemporary open plan living area with improved connections to the rear garden and views of the Cathedral. The introduction of bespoke timber double glazed windows improves the building’s energy efficiency while retaining and reinstating the original character of the building.
